{A} Rotary Youth Programs of Enrichment [ RYPEN]
This program provides students with the opportunity to enhance
and develop personal self-growth and confidence. { Ages 13 to 18 yrs of age}
{B} Rotary Youth Leadership Awards [RYLA]
Youth local community leaders are chosen for their leadership potential to
attend this seminar to decuss leadership skills and to learn the skills through practice.
[ 16 to 18 years of age and grade 10, 11, or 12]
{C} Northern Experience
The student will spend a weekend experiencing the day to day lives of our counterparts
on our nations North. This outdoor type student will have a great cultural experience
in the Yellowknife area. [16 - 18 years of age and grade 11 or 12]
{D} World Affairs
This program features students from over 50 countries brought together at
Whitewater, Wisconsin to learn about traditions, aspirations and heritage. Daily,
students will decuss international issues from around the globe, such as human
rights, nuclear arms, world energy crisis, political terrorism and world Pease.
[ 16 to 19 years of age and in grade 10, 11 and 12 ]
{E} Short Term Exchange Families exchange students for approximately 4 weeks in over 160 Countries
in the world.
{F} Long term Exchange
Students [ 15 to 17years old ] spend a year with host families to learn about different
cultures and life in other countries. This program builds goodwill and understanding
of other cultures.
{G} Adventures in Technology
This program is held in Saskatoon and gives students the opportunity to explore
advanced technology, research and development.
[ 15 to 19 years of age or in grade 10, 11 or 12 ]
{H} Adventures in Citizenship
This program is open to students 16 to 19 years age, and allows the participant to
see our nations capital from the political viewpoint along with a view of our
political system at work. Approximately 220 students from across the country
will participate in this adventure. The following criteria must be met:
1. Canadian Citizenship, or Landed Immigrant status with the
Intention of becoming a Canadian citizen
2. Senior High Student with above average marks and participation
in Extracurricular activities.
3. Well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Have not visited the Nation's Capital in the last five years and is
unlikely to so so before graduation unless accepted by this program.
{I} Adventures in Agriculture
The objective of this program is to provide awareness and knowledge if the
agriculture field from the farmers to the financial aspect of day to day life on a farm.
Bursaries and Scholarships
1. Bancroft Student Bursary
Administered by the Rotary Club of Drumheller, $ 1000.00 Bursary each year
[A] Student must satisfy entrance requirements at a post secondary institution
[B] The student must demonstrate leadership qualities.
[C] The student must be recognized as an individual of honesty and integrity.
2. Ambassadorial Scholarships
There are three types of Scholarships available for out of country colleges and
